Yes, There Are Animals
Many people come to therapy feeling nervous, overwhelmed, or unsure of what to expect. At Anivana, we work with children, teens, and adults, and our animal co-therapists help create an environment that feels welcoming, comfortable, and approachable.
For some clients, having an animal nearby makes it easier to settle in, open up, and feel more at ease. Others simply appreciate the calm, supportive atmosphere they help create. Whether it's watching a chinchilla nap nearby, interacting with a therapy animal, or simply sharing space with a quiet presence, many clients find that therapy feels a little less intimidating and a little more natural.
Interaction is always optional. Some clients love spending time with the animals, while others simply enjoy knowing they're there. Every client experiences therapy differently, but our goal is always the same: to create a space where people feel comfortable showing up as themselves.
